Fall

So we made our first out-of-state trip! On October 9th we went to South Haven MS, to see Poppie and Nonnie(my daddy and stepmom Pam).  Poppie was being honored at church and becoming a deacon.  Kennedy looked so pretty in her white dress!!  This dress was bought for her by a lady Peyton works with, it is so pretty!  Unfortunately she only wore it this one time!  I am going to try to put her in it this Sunday but i think it is too small:(.  She is growing so fast!!  We had a wonderful time visiting with my dad and Pam.
Then Chel, Dawson, Kennedy, and I went to the pumpkin patch in Augusta.  When we pulled up there were 4 batesville school buses there!  We should have known this was a bad sign!!  There were kids EVERYWHERE!!  Kennedy started out being mad at me at the house when i put her dress, boots, and hat on!  She threw a huge fit about the hat and decided she would be mad at me all day!:)  So i spent the entire time carrying her while she fussed and ate.  But we did get some pics, she didn't want to look at chel taking our pics.  Dawson had a great time, and he FINALLY said my name!!  I was SO excited!!  I have tried for almost 2 years to get him to say my name!  A great Day!

Sad news!  The Sunday after we went to my dad's, our family dog Rocky died!  We had 18 long years with him and all loved him SO much!  He was like our brother!!  This pic was taken a week before he died.  He was blind, deaf, and having a lot of health problems, it was time for him to go.  But that doesn't mean we all weren't very sad!!  He is in heaven playing with our boys!!  RIP Rocky!!

2 month shots!!:(

So Kennedy was 8 weeks Monday and Wednesday we went to see Dr Jeff for her 2month check up and shots!  She did great, only cried for a little while.  She is 11lbs 8oz and 24inches long!  She is in the 90% for height and 75% for weight.  He said she is lean and healthy!  I cant believe she is lean!  Have you seen her cheeks!lol  She will probably be tall, which is good because she will fit right in with us!:)  Anyway, we had to go to the hospital yesterday to get her hearing retested.  She failed in her left ear at birth and we finally got her on our insurance so we had it retested.  She passed!!  We knew she acted like she could hear us in that ear we just had to make sure.  She is perfectly healthy!  We are so blessed!!  We thank God everyday for Kennedy!  She is such a joy to our lives!!  Today we are going to the pumpkin patch in Augusta with Chel and Dawson!  Then tonight we are going to the Des Arc game!  Go EAGLES!!  Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Go Hogs Beat Auburn!!!

It's official!!

Well the 16th of Sept was Kennedy's one month birthday!  And it was court day!  Which means she is now legally our daughter!!  We are so happy and thankful it is finally offical!!!  The other pics go with the post i posted before this.  They are the des arc shower, the el dorado shower and my sisters wedding shower.

Fall

So Kennedy is now 7weeks old!!  That is so crazy!  It feels like yesterday we were bringing her home!  She weights 11.5lbs and is 24inches long!  Growing girl!!  We have been very busy lately!  We had several baby shower/parties!  Des Arc United Methodist Church threw us an amazing shower Sept 12th!  All we can say is we are extremely blessed!  Our Pharmacy school bunch threw us a shower in El Dorado on Sept 18th, which was awesome and all the couples and our 5 children under the age of 2, slept in the same house!  It actually wasn't as crazy as you would think!  We loved it!!  Then on the 19th we threw my sister Amy a wedding shower at our house.  She got a lot of nice things and i always love to entertain!:)  The next weekend we went to Fayetteville for the game with some friends.  Amie, her 3week old Luke, Kennedy and I shopped for 5 1/2 hours then went to the hotel to watch the game.  Peyton, Eli, Amy, and Reed went to the game and of course we were all disappointed!:(  But we played awesome against the number 1 team!!  Go Hogs!!
The 26th our church community group threw us a shower/party for Kennedy.  It was in the back yard of Jeff and Dea Moore and it was very nice.  We got lots of diapers and gift cards.

This past weekend was my sister Amy's lingerie shower.  It was Saturday at 7pm, so you guessed it, I had to leave Kennedy!  It was the first time i have been away from her for longer than an hour.  It was fun though.  Poor Peyton, she was fussy all day and evidently it went on til 1030 when i got home.  She has been fighting sleep alot and has been having tummy pain, we changed her formula and it seemed to work.  She is growing so fast!  She started smiling at us this week and giggles alot while playing on her play mat.  She is now wearing 0-3 month clothes.  We go to the doctor again on the 13th.
We decorated for fall this week!  I love this time of year, not as much as Christmas, but the weather is Amazing!!  Defiantly the way it will feel in heaven!  We had a bonfire hot dog roast last night at our church community group.  It was so nice!  Kennedy and i are fixing to go for a walk with Chel and Dawson.  She became a stay at home mom this week!  We are super excited bc we can hang out with them alot more!  And we have a play date group Wednesday.  We went a couple weeks ago, there are about 12 moms and 14 kids.  Of course Kennedy is the youngest but in a few months it wont matter.  She will play with the other babies.

Life is so wonderful right now!!  Peyton and I couldn't be happier!!  We are so blessed and we thank God everyday for all he has given us!!  One last thing, I love a good deal!  Saturday my neighbors were having yard sales.  So Kennedy and I took off with the stroller and $40.  I never buy anything little at yard sales, i should have known this was a stupid idea, a stroller instead of the car!  Well at the first one i found a white head board for $25.  Then across the street from that one was a chest!  It was $20, so i told the lady i would go back and get more money and my car!  There was no way i could carry either of the items back to my house and push the stroller!  So she held it for me and Kennedy and i went back and got the car.  I have always thought a little girls room would be cute with a white wood bed and paint the other furniture colors.  I know she is 7 wks and her room has furniture, but i will put it in the attic and work on it someday.  She can have it when she is 2 or 3 and wants a big girl room.  Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful week!!
