I cannot believe Kennedy is 4 1/2 months old!!! She is growing SO fast!! We had an amazing Christmas! God knew we couldnt make it through the holidays without a precious baby, so he made sure we had Kennedy! As Feb 2nd approaches, i keep thinking about Grant! I cannot believe it has been a year! I looked back at our Christmas pics from last year, i was HUGE and we were so ready for Grant! On December 20th, a girl i am in JA with lost her twins at 21 weeks! My heart broke!! It brought back everything we went through and it was like looking back at a dream. I kept thinking how in the world did we get from Feb 2nd to today! To go through so much heart ache and sadness, to how happy we are today! Only God could get us through what we have been through and help us to find happiness again! I have sent cards, sent facebook messages, and took the girl a book that a lady gave me and i offered to talk to her whenever she is ready. She told me it will take a while but she does want to talk to me. I pray that God will use me to help her as he used people to help peyton and i! So please keep her and her husband in your prayers! And us as we come up on the one year anniversary of that horrible day! It is hard to think that all that happened so Kennedy would be in our lives. But God has a reason for everything! I hated hearing that last year after we lost Grant! I thought why in the world would God want us to lose Grant! I still dont think he wanted us to lose him, but I do know that after we lost him we prayed for the adoption to happen fast if it was his plan. I would say 4 months from start to finish was really fast! It all fell into place and felt like God's plan, which made us feel really good. I hope that our story can help others that are hurting from the lose of a baby!
So back to Christmas! This was our first Christmas as a family, and it was so special!! Kennedy got every toy that Fisher Price makes for 6months and up!! She got tons of books, clothes, toys, a toy box, and an entertainer(it has huge piano keys on the bottom where her feet hit and she has learned to stomp them, very fun and loud!lol) We got to spend time with all our family and eat LOTS of good food!! It was definatley a Christmas we will always remember! Kennedy loved Santa Clause!! She slept at the firemen supper but it made for a precious picture!!
Peyton and I just got back from New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl!! We went with 4 other couples. We hated leaving Kennedy and i will say i have decided not to go anywhere else without her for a long time!lol But it was fun and New Orleans is no place for a baby!! The hogs lost but it was a great game!!!
Kennedy is now 15lbs and 25inches long, she eats 8oz bottles, and has started eating cereal in the morning and veggies at night! She is getting SO big!! She can play in her walker and entertainers, she rolls over so easily, she loves to hold her feet(which really helps when you are trying to change her diaper), she should be getting teeth soon!
That's all for now, i am trying to update more often in 2011!!!
