Playing catch up!!

I have got to get better about blogging!!  Not that anyone reads this blog but i would have liked to have kept up with Kennedy's life on here!  You know just print out the entire blog someday so she can see how everything happened and how fast she grew.  I guess her two baby books will have to do!lol  She is 5 1/2 months old!!  Wow! That is so crazy to say!  It feels like yesterday i held her for the first time!  We are doing great at the Harvey house!  Just staying very busy! This month is full of JA, junior auxiliary, activities so mommy is busy and daddy gets to spend some one on one time with Kennedy!:) We went to heber springs this weekend for a friends baby shower.  We stayed at the Wilson's lake house, it was so beautiful with snow everywhere, def a different scene for a lake trip!  But we had a blast!!  There were 10 adults and 5 babies plus two girls are pregnant right now!  You can imagine the fun we had with 5 kids under 3!!  We shared a room with the Vinson's.  If you remember Kennedy is 2 weeks older that Luke and they will be married some day!lol Well after the night we had, i cannot imagine twins!!  Luke had a bad cough and kept waking up, so every time he woke up Kennedy would look up from her pack-n-play or my chest once she made it to our bed! I think she was checking on him!lol  At 430am we were all wide awake laughing at the babies!  It was sweet!  Then yesterday we went to Chel and Nick's to watch the super bowl with some friends from church.  We had to leave before it was over bc we were all so tired from our slumber party the night before!lol And now Kennedy and i are snowed in again!!  I was looking online for the dates of the snow days so far in 2011 bc i am putting it in Kennedy's baby book, i think this is the 5th snow!!  We never had snow like this when we were in school!!  But we never had to make up snow days in the summer either!lol  It is supposed to get bad again Wednesday!!  I am SO ready for spring!!  And our trip to the beach in June!!  Oh i cant wait!!  Kennedy is sitting up very well on her own now!!  And she rolls EVERYWHERE!!  It is so crazy how fast she is growing!!  She grabs anything that is around her and of course it goes straight to her mouth!!  So we are having to watch what we leave in the floor or what we put on the table when she is sitting in our laps!lol I will try to put some pics on here!  Last time it got messed up and i just noticed we only had one pic from Christmas, so i will put some of them with this post!  Hopefully it wont be a month before i blog again!! And last Wednesday 2/2/11 was Grant's first birthday!!  I cannot believe it has been a year!!  It was a hard day, but having Kennedy to snuggle with on the couch all day really helped!  Looking back i am overwhelmed by the love and support we received from everyone!!  We are so blessed to have you all in our lives!! God had a plan and we just had to trust him!  Which wasn't easy but we ended up with Kennedy, so i know it had to be his plan!! God knew she would make our lives feel complete again!! Happy 1st bday GRANT!!  WE love you so very much!!

4 1/2 months!!

I cannot believe Kennedy is 4 1/2 months old!!!  She is growing SO fast!!  We had an amazing Christmas! God knew we couldnt make it through the holidays without a precious baby, so he made sure we had Kennedy!  As Feb 2nd approaches, i keep thinking about Grant!  I cannot believe it has been a year!  I looked back at our Christmas pics from last year, i was HUGE and we were so ready for Grant!  On December 20th, a girl i am in JA with lost her twins at 21 weeks!  My heart broke!!  It brought back everything we went through and it was like looking back at a dream.  I kept thinking how in the world did we get from Feb 2nd to today!  To go through so much heart ache and sadness, to how happy we are today!  Only God could get us through what we have been through and help us to find happiness again!  I have sent cards, sent facebook messages, and took the girl a book that a lady gave me and i offered to talk to her whenever she is ready.  She told me it will take a while but she does want to talk to me.  I pray that God will use me to help her as he used people to help peyton and i!  So please keep her and her husband in your prayers!  And us as we come up on the one year anniversary of that horrible day!  It is hard to think that all that happened so Kennedy would be in our lives. But God has a reason for everything!  I hated hearing that last year after we lost Grant!  I thought why in the world would God want us to lose Grant!  I still dont think he wanted us to lose him, but I do know that after we lost him we prayed for the adoption to happen fast if it was his plan.  I would say 4 months from start to finish was really fast!  It all fell into place and felt like God's plan, which made us feel really good.  I hope that our story can help others that are hurting from the lose of a baby!
So back to Christmas!  This was our first Christmas as a family, and it was so special!!   Kennedy got every toy that Fisher Price makes for 6months and up!! She got tons of books, clothes, toys, a toy box, and an entertainer(it has huge piano keys on the bottom where her feet hit and she has learned to stomp them, very fun and loud!lol)  We got to spend time with all our family and eat LOTS of good food!! It was definatley a Christmas we will always remember!  Kennedy loved Santa Clause!!  She slept at the firemen supper but it made for a precious picture!!
Peyton and I just got back from New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl!!  We went with 4 other couples.  We  hated leaving Kennedy and i will say i have decided not to go anywhere else without her for a long time!lol But it was fun and New Orleans is no place for a baby!!  The hogs lost but it was a great game!!!
Kennedy is now 15lbs and 25inches long, she eats 8oz bottles, and has started eating cereal in the morning and veggies at night!  She is getting SO big!!  She can play in her walker and entertainers, she rolls over so easily, she loves to hold her feet(which really helps when you are trying to change her diaper), she should be getting teeth soon!
That's all for now, i am trying to update more often in 2011!!!

So it has been a month since i blogged last!!  I have got to get better at this!  So here are pics from November and some from Dec.  We got a new camera, I LOVE IT!!!  So maybe i will get better about blogging!!    So she is growing SO fast!!  She is 13.5lbs 25inches long, she can roll from her back to her tummy, but hates being on her tummy!  She talks, well yells, all the time!!  She gets very excited when she sees someone she recognizes.  She is very spoiled and loves mommy!!  She loves tv, esp ESPN and wheel of fortune with Daddy!  They are buddies from 630pm til 9pm, unless she is fussy and wants mommy.  She loves eating her hands!!  There are a few teeth on the bottom that are close to cutting through, but none have yet.  They were bothering her at night, but lately she seems to be ok.  She either chews or sucks on her hands constantly.  We go to the dr next Friday for her 4month check up and shots:(  But the good thing is she will get to start eating veggies!!  We are so excited!!  She is such a joy and we are so blessed!!  This is going to be a wonderful Christmas!!  We meet with the birthmom next Wednesday, so pray all goes well!  We told her we would meet once or twice a year, if everything goes well.  We will see how it goes!  I will try to blog after so everyone will know how things go!

So on November 6th, 2010 at 5pm i got a brother-in-law!!  As most of you know we have called Amy's boyfriend Daniel by his last name Dempsey for 2 years!  Now that they are married and she is Amy Dempsey, it is time we call Dempsey, Daniel!  This is confusing i know!!lol  But i have tried for the past week and i think i am catching on!  So when they got engaged in Feb, i told amy i would help her with whatever she need for her wedding.  Little did i know this would mean i would be the matron of honor, decorator, florist, coordinator, and co planner!lol  But i loved every bit of it and i think they had an amazing wedding!!  I wanted them to have a wedding they would never forget , just like Peyton and I did!  I worked for weeks on the flowers and a week on the decorating of the location, and had my mom and aunt bev help me. Here are some pics!  Congrats Amy and Daniel, we are so happy for you guys!!
