Latest news

So last week I went shopping with Haley, the birthmom.  We had a good time, we bought some cute clothes for the baby!:)  She is very sweet!  The baby was kicking and she told me to feel, she pushed at her belly and said "kick for your momma!"  Thought that was sweet, she always refers to us as the babies parents.  Then the next day I went to the doctor with her.  Got to meet the Doctor and hear the babies heartbeat!  Tomorrow Peyton and I are going with her for a 4D ultrasound!  I will post the ultrasound pictures soon.  She is due in 4 1/2 weeks!!  Crazy soon!lol  We are super excited and cant wait to be parents!  Some people kill me with their facebooks or blogs or text, complaining about no sleep, their kids driving them crazy, etc!  I will be happy to get up in the middle of the night and feed and change that sweet baby girl, as many times as she needs me to!  Some people don't realize how blessed they are to have a child in the first place!  Anyway, I will try to keep everyone updated on here.  Also i have created a blog for me and haley, so we can talk without using facebook, she wrote how honored she was to give us her baby and she knows we will raise her right.  We just hope she feels that way after the baby is born, and doesn't change her mind!  Just have to trust God!!  They are coming next week to do our homestudy and friday the 16th is my last day at St Vincent!!  I am so ready to be a stay at home mom!!  Thanks everyone for the prayers!  Please continue to pray for us, haley, the agency, and of course the baby girl!!!

God Is Great!!!

So this afternoon we got a call from the adoption agency and they said we have been matched!!  We are super excited, but scared to death at the same time!  The girl is due August 9th and it's a girl!  We just have to trust God to make things happen.  The girl will have five days to change her mind once the baby is born, so we have to pray God gives her a peace the minute she hands the baby over to us, and she knows she is doing the right thing!  Please continue to pray for us and the girl Haley and the baby! We will keep everyone update as we find out more.  Check here because we probably won't put anything on facebook!

ADOPTION

Ok so the last month has been crazy!  We decided to adopt a baby!  If you know us, you know we researched every adoption route and prayed hard!  After a lot of meetings with agencies and discussing all our options we finally decided to go with ABBA Adoption Agency.  They are located in Benton.  After meeting with the owner on May 6th, we just had a great feeling that they were the ones we should go with.  Two weeks later, i am proud to say we have a possible match!!  It has been a lot of work getting everything together, but we are working quick.  We will meet the birthmom next Thursday!  I am SO nervous!!  We don't know much about her but we are learning more everyday by talking with the agency.  Please pray everything goes great next Thursday and that we get this baby in August!!  I will try to keep everyone updated on here, i dont want to put much on facebook.  If anyone has any questions or wants an update, either call me, message me on facebook, or email me @ ashleynicholeharvey@yahoo.com  All we can do is pray that God works in this situation and we get the baby we are supposed to raise as our own!  The girl can change her mind up to 10days after the baby is born, so even if we get matched and take the baby home, she can change her mind at any time!  We need lots of prayer about this!  Thank you all!!

Happy Mother's Day

Tomorrow will be a very hard day, but I know God will help us get through it!  Happy Mother's Day to every mom whether your baby is here or in heaven, you are still a mom!  Here's a sweet poem I found:

I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today
I asked “What makes a Mother?”
And I know I heard Him say.

“A Mother has a baby”
This we know is true
“But God can you be a Mother,
When your baby’s not with you?”

“Yes, you can,” He replied
With confidence in His voice
“I give many women babies,
When they leave is not their choice.

Some I send for a lifetime,
And others for the day.
And some I send to feel your womb,
But there’s no need to stay.”

“I just don’t understand this God
I want my baby to be here.”
He took a deep breath and cleared His throat,
And then I saw the tear.

“I wish I could show you,
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child’s smile,
With all the other children and say…

‘We go to Earth to learn our lessons,
Of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much,
I got to come strait here.

I feel so lucky to have a Mom,
Who had so much love for me.
I learned my lessons very quickly,
My Mommy set me free.

I miss my Mommy oh so much,
But I visit her every day.
When she goes to sleep,
On her pillow’s where I lay

I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek,
And whisper in her ear.
Mommy don’t be sad today,
I’m your baby and I’m here.’

“So you see my dear sweet ones,
Your children are okay.
Your babies are born here in My home,
And this is where they’ll stay.

They’ll wait for you with Me,
Until your lesson’s through.
And on the day that you come home
they’ll be at the gates for you.

So now you see what makes a Mother,
It’s the feeling in your heart
it’s the love you had so much of
Right from the very start

Though some on earth may not realize,
You are a Mother.
Until their time is done.
They’ll be up here with Me one day
And know that you are the best one!”

Orlando

We spent the last week in Orlando with our friends the Vinson's and the Wilson's.  We left wednesday morning and came back monday.  While in orlando we went to Kennedy Space Center and saw the space shuttle Discovery, which is why we took the trip, it was supposed to take off thursday but got moved to april 5th.  After that we went to Cocoa Beach.  It was a cold windy day and the water was freezing, but we had to put our feet in and take pictures.  We ended the day by eating at a resturant called Dixie Crossroads.  They served cornfritters with powdered sugar on top as appetizers, sounds crazy but it was really good.  And the most amazing shrimp any of us have ever had! It was great!  Friday we went to Universal Studios.  We road a lot of rides and saw some cool 3D shows.  We were pretty worn out that night! Saturday we went to Sea World, where Eli got to swim with a balooga whale.  He loved it!  We were supposed to fly home Sunday, but after loading the plane and pulling away from the gate, the engine wouldnt start.  After an hour or two they finally canceled the flight and put us up in a hotel.  We finally made it home Monday at 11.  It was a great trip with great friends! Now back to the real world for me.  I go back to work for the first time tomorrow. Pray everything goes well!

Roxie and my bday week

Well we have a new addition to our home, or should i say yard, her name is Roxie.  She is a precious blonde golden retriever that is 7wks old.  This past week was my birthday, so we went to Fayettville and watched the hogs play.  Then on sunday we went to Branson for a few days.  We shopped, ate, went to see Spirit of the Dance, and watched a movie.  It was nice to get away, especially because this week was our due date for Grant.  We are still having a hard time, it is a day to day struggle.  We went to a high risk doctor and he did a lot of blood work, we should get results soon.  I went for my 7week check up today with Dr Citty and he said everything looked good.  He is the nicest doctor ever! He was awesome during this whole experience and he is still being great.  Offered to call us if anyone comes in and wants to give their baby up for adoption.  We are checking into the process, but we will probably adopt soon.  Just pray for us and that we make it through this.  I am keeping busy by painting the kitchen and living room.  I needed something to keep my mind busy.  I go back to work next week, monday for my sister at dr.thomas office and svi wed and friday.  Ready to get back to a normal schedule.  I am going to work prn for now and just see how things go.  Back to my puppy.  We went home through little rock and got my puppy Roxie! She is so cute and sweet.  She keeps us company and she is so fun to watch.  She plays well by herself, but cries if she knows we are in the house and not paying attention to her.  She has learned to sit and fetch.  She hasn't gotten the entire fetch concept down, she will go get the toy but not always bring it back.  She likes the game keep away best.lol  Anyway, we still need lots of prayer and are so thankful for all the family and friends that we have in our lives! WE are very BLESSED!!
